Family is everything to us, so supporting a cause centred on keeping families together during some of their most difficult times was an easy decision. Being able to spread the word about JoeAnna’s House while selling lemonade, was such a fun and easy way to get the kids involved and excited about helping others. We are already looking forward to next year!!
My daughter Taylor , who is on the autism spectrum, was 13 when she did this stand. She wanted to do a lemonade stand for quite some time so when this opportunity came along, I signed her up! We live in Kelowna so we are very familiar with JoeAnnas house and the importance of it here for hospital visits and patients. Taylor loved the opportunity to chat with people. She loved the autonomy of running her own stand, collecting donations and serving people a cool drink on a hot day. She had so much fun that she also set up a second location at our residence and collected more donations!!
I feel so grateful to be part of a huge multi-city event all supporting a great cause! The process was easy, the kit was fantastic and the support was phenomenal.
My kids and I absolutely loved being a part of Good Lemonade Day! They felt so proud to help raise money for a good cause and they can’t wait to participate again next year!
The Good Lemonade Day fundraiser was a great way to involve our neighbourhood in a fun activity that supported a great service, JoeAnna’s House.
